Senior Corporate Accountant – Tax & Reporting
Regent Motors Group | Head Office | Perth WA
Regent Motors Group is looking for a Senior Corporate Accountant to join our Head Office finance team, working directly with the Group CFO.
This is a broad, technical role suited to someone with strong public practice foundations who wants to move into a complex private group environment.
You will work across corporate reporting, monthly consolidation, statutory accounts, income tax compliance, cash flow reporting, board pack reporting and private group structures.
This is not a routine month-end role. It is a role for someone who enjoys technical accounting, tax, structures, reconciliations, controls and improving the quality of financial information.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
monthly corporate reporting and consolidation support;
statutory financial reporting and audit workpapers;
income tax compliance, tax workpapers and tax governance;
cash flow reporting and supporting analysis;
board pack schedules and CFO reporting;
private group and shareholder-level accounting;
review of corporate balance sheets, reconciliations and general ledger quality;
liaison with external tax advisors and auditors;
improving compliance processes, documentation and reporting discipline.
Who This Suits
This role would suit:
a tax manager or business services manager ready to move into commerce;
a senior accountant one or two roles out of public practice;
an audit or corporate advisory background with strong technical accounting skills;
someone who enjoys private group complexity, not just routine reporting.
Experience with trusts, companies, related-party structures, property, agriculture, family groups or private clients would be highly regarded.
Automotive experience is not required.
What We’re Looking For
You will ideally be:
CA or CPA qualified;
strong in tax compliance and statutory reporting;
confident reviewing balance sheets, reconciliations and workpapers;
organised, accurate and deadline-focused;
commercially curious;
discreet and trustworthy;
clear in your communication;
comfortable working directly with senior leadership;
willing to improve processes rather than just follow them.
Why Join Us?
This is a rare opportunity to move into a senior private group role with real breadth.
You will work directly with the CFO, close to ownership and decision-making, across a large operating group with dealerships, property interests, farming interests and private investment structures.
For the right person, the appeal is simple: technical depth, private group complexity, direct CFO exposure and the chance to make the reporting and tax environment stronger.
Please apply with your CV and a brief cover letter outlining your experience in tax, reporting, statutory accounts or private group work.
