Langford Metal Industries has a new position that is needed to be filled.

We are looking to appoint an Apprentice Sheet Metal Worker for immediate start.

Langford Metal Industries is a manufacturer of a wide variety of sheet metal products. We design and fabricate all our products from start to finish. Located in Eagle Farm, our factory is easily accessible by all transport. Friendly team with comfortable work environment. The role will involve working on both custom and standard projects using a variety of power tools and both MiG and TiG welders. You will mainly be working with Aluminium, stainless steel and mild steel (various widths from 0.7 mm - 8mm). A hands-on role, we are seeking an enthusiastic and hardworking team player. The candidate will also need to have strong attention to detail, perform precise work and be able to work unsupervised. .

About the Role

Reporting to the Factory Supervisor, you will have the opportunity to learn about:
·       Working in a workshop environment;
·       Working with sheet metals;
·       Using power tools, machinery and equipment;
 

This role will be a full time position from Monday to Friday, beginning at 5:00 - 6:00am and 1:20 - 2:20 pm finish time. ( Start and finish time is flexible) The apprentice will be expected to attend TAFE to complete their theory/practical component as required with all fees paid for by Langford Metal.
 

Requirements

We are looking for candidates who have demonstrated interest in the trade.
 

It would be beneficial if the applicant has experience in tech drawing and / or metal work, but this is not essential.
