About the role

We are seeking an experienced Aluminium Welder / Fabricator to join our team at BYRON AVIATION PTY LIMITED' in Wetherill Park NSW 2164. This is a casual role, could lead to a fulltime role working on a range of welding and fabrication projects for our clients in the aviation industry.

What you'll be doing

• Perform aluminium welding and fabrication tasks to a high standard, using a variety of techniques and materials

• Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and work instructions

• Operate a range of welding equipment and machinery safely and efficiently

• Collaborate with the team to problem-solve and find solutions to complex fabrication challenges

• Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards and quality control procedures

• Provide input and assist with continuous improvement initiatives

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a welder and fabricator, ideally in the aviation or aerospace industries

• Strong technical skills and knowledge of welding techniques, including MIG, TIG and stick welding

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and work instructions

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

• Current welding qualifications and certifications
