Workforce Extensions Footscray, our valued client is seeking a professional and quality focused 2nd Class Welder to join their growing team.

An innovative and developing business our client, which is a leading Australian manufacturer of electrical switchboard manufacturing facilities based in Thomastown, you'll play a pivotal role in assembling cutting-edge electrical switchboard facilities. This exciting opportunity is for afternoon shift, so you will start on dayshift Monday - Friday 7am-3.06pm you will then move across to afternoon shift 3pm - 11.06pm. Looking for a highly motivated 2nd Class Welder, to become an integral part of the team. This is a Temp to permanent opportunity for the right candidate.

Your Tasks Will Include:

• Proven Experience in MIG welder Stainless Steel and Aluminium is a MUST
• Can-do attitude and an ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Ability to pass a weld test.
• Following all required safety and administrative procedures
• Metal Fabrication experience
• Light Structural Steel Welding
• Comfortable Grinding and Cutting metals.
• Read Fabrication Drawings (Is a bonus)
• Able to start immediately.
• Ongoing work long term, and can go Full Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Prior experience in welding MIG Mild Steel and Aluminium is essential, willingness to learn and work as a team.
• Physically Fit and healthy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Initiative, punctuality, and reliability.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work closely with others.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team.
