An experienced Welder is required by our cotton farm in Griffith to perform welding and construction for agriculture equipment.  You will also be constructing frames for row crop tillage and repairing various machines which are worn or in need of repair.    The duties include:   Welding and construction responsibilities for agriculture equipment Preparation of various metal types (mild steel, bisalloy, stainless steel and cast) for cutting (oxy/acetylene torch, grinders and drop saws), joining(mig welding and manual arc) and hard facing(tungsten and 412 floppy rod)  Constructing frames for row crop tillage and repairing various machines which are worn or in need of repair Studying drawings, plans and specifications to determine job requirements Welding in different methods single line, triple line, vertical sweep and down run Examining welds to ensure strength and precision Installing frames for automated stops Cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiselling and grinding   The essential skills required:   Must be experienced in cutting to the required measurement to ensure minimal losses in steel.  Must be experienced in welding in different methods including single line, triple line, vertical sweep and down run.  Must be experienced in welding agricultural equipment.  Must have a high attention to detail.     The qualifications required are AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3) or similar and must have at least three years welding experience.     Please forward your resume be considered for this position and only successful applicants will be contacted.
