Thind Group Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Motor Mechanic to join our team in Ellenbrook, WA. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing diesel engines and related systems for a range of vehicles and machinery.

This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Task & responsibilities

• Detect and diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in diesel engines and components 
• Dismantle, repair, and reassemble engines, transmissions, and other components 
• Perform routine servicing including oil changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups 
• Test and adjust mechanical parts after repair to ensure optimal performance 
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues accurately 
• Inspect vehicles and machinery for roadworthiness and compliance 
• Replace defective parts such as fuel injection systems, pistons, bearings, and valves 
• Maintain service records and documentation of repairs 
• Ensure adherence to workplace health and safety standards 

Qualification & experience

•    AQF Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent 

•    Minimum 1–3 years of relevant work experience as a Diesel Motor Mechanic 

•    Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems 

•    Ability to interpret technical manuals and diagnostic data 

•    Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills 

•    Valid driver’s licence (preferred) 

•    Ability to work independently and in a team environment
