We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Truck Driver to operate heavy vehicles and ensure the safe and efficient transportation of goods. Task & responsibilities

• Operate heavy trucks and other heavy vehicles to transport goods, materials, and equipment to designated locations.
• Conduct pre-start inspections and routine safety checks of the vehicle before and after trips.
• Drive vehicles safely in accordance with traffic regulations, fatigue management requirements, and company policies.
• Load, unload, and secure goods using appropriate equipment and methods to ensure safe transportation.
• Check delivery documentation, manifests, and invoices to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
• Plan delivery routes and manage travel schedules to meet customer and business requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of trips, deliveries, fuel usage, vehicle inspections, and maintenance requirements.
• Identify and report vehicle defects, mechanical issues, or safety concerns to management.
• Ensure goods are protected during transit and delivered in good condition.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.

Qualification & experience

• AQF Certificate II or III in a relevant field may be required, or relevant industry experience may substitute for formal qualifications.
• A valid Australian heavy vehicle driver licence (such as HR, HC, or MC licence, depending on the vehicle operated) is mandatory.
• Relevant experience in operating heavy vehicles, transporting goods, and complying with road transport regulations is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of load restraint requirements, vehicle safety checks, fatigue management, and workplace health and safety procedures is required.
• Registration or licensing is required for this occupation.
