Silverstrand is seeking an Experienced Excavator Operator and Truck Driver to become a key part in shaping the future of our business alongside an experienced team.  

The role is based within the Lowood region with focus on a pipeline project starting up.

Excavator Operator - Casual - $63 + OT + $30 Daily Travel

Truck Driver (HR) - Casual - $53 + OT + $30 Daily Travel

This role is responsible for (but not limited to):

• Excavator Operations - trench work, back filling, GPS and final trim work
• Truck Drivers - HR Licence Required - Operating 12-14T Tipper 
• Ability to work directly from plans
• Safely dogging suspended loads accurately 
• Rigging and securing loads for excavator placements
• Working safely around high risk machinery
• General labouring and trade assistant work as required
• Ability to read and understand plans
• Ensuring compliance with site safety & environmental requirements

The successful candidate must have the following experience:

• Minimum 5+ years' construction experience in Excavation
• Experience on Subdivisions, Road upgrades and pipeline projects
• Experience with the technical aspects of pipe laying
• Dogman and Confined Space tickets required
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test
