Task & responsibilities

• Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and vehicle parts
• Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other components to inspect and check parts
• Repairing or replacing worn and defective parts, then reassembling mechanical components according to service manuals
• Performing scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrication, and tune-ups to ensure smooth vehicle operation and compliance with regulations
• Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after repairs to confirm proper performance
• Conducting general vehicle servicing, repairs, and maintenance
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised workshop while following all safety procedures
• Communicating clearly with customers and team members about work completed

Qualification & experience

• Cert III or higher in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)
• Proven hands-on experience as a Motor Mechanic
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills
• Current Australian driver’s licence
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
• Reliable, safety conscious attitude with good attention to detail
