About The Role:

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Trades Assistant is responsible for driving a safety first culture and working with the engineering team to ensure that all equipment and machinery are cleaned efficiently to assist in the smooth running of the branch. Additionally, the Trades Assistant is responsible for ensuring that all work is right the first time, maintaining a low to zero level of repeat work.

This role involves hands on assistance to our trade fitters, attending to break downs, pre planned servicing and scheduled machine cleaning throughout the day. 

Please note all on the job training will be provided to help you perform your new role within Alsco Uniforms.

Essential Criteria:

• Ideally 1-2 years' experiences with hand tools (however eagerness to excel is highly regarded)

• Enthusiastic and eager to learn

• A team approach & a positive outlook

• A keen eye for detail

• Good organisational and communication skills

• A passion for safety

• Forklift licence preferred (however not essential)

• Ability to work unsupervised
