Quality Inspector - Wind Farm Projects - FIFO from Perth - 12 month+ project
�� Western Australia
We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to support the delivery of major Wind Farm projects in Western Australia. This is an exciting opportunity to join Australia's rapidly growing renewable energy sector and play a key role in delivering large-scale wind energy developments across regional WA.
Working closely with OEMs, EPC contractors, and site construction teams, you will be responsible for ensuring all turbine installation and commissioning activities are completed safely, compliantly, and to the highest quality standards.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct QA/QC inspections across wind turbine installation, mechanical, electrical, and commissioning activities
  • Complete inspection test records (ITRs), check sheets, and sign-offs in line with project specifications and ITPs
  • Monitor turbine installation quality and manage punch lists, defects, and close-out activities
  • Perform inspections on cranes, lifting equipment, tooling, and turbine components prior to installation activities
  • Support HOTO (Handover-Takeover) and final turbine handovers to clients and commissioning teams
  • Ensure all works comply with project procedures, OEM specifications, Australian Standards, and WA site requirements
  • Raise and track NCRs, quality observations, and corrective actions
  • Coordinate with supervisors, subcontractors, commissioning teams, and client representatives to resolve quality issues efficiently
  • Maintain accurate QA documentation and provide regular progress reporting to project management
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Quality Inspector, QA/QC Inspector, or Site Quality Advisor within the wind industry
  • Strong understanding of wind turbine construction, installation, and commissioning processes
  • Experience on utility-scale renewable energy or infrastructure projects within Australia preferred
  • Familiarity with major turbine platforms such as Vestas, GE, Siemens Gamesa, Goldwind, or Envision highly regarded
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, SOPs, QA documentation, and inspection plans
  • Strong understanding of WHS regulations and Australian Standards
  • Current White Card required
  • GWO certifications highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work FIFO rosters across regional Western Australia
