About the Role
As a Safety Inspector, you will play a key role in keeping taxi, bus, and marine services safe for everyone. Reporting to the Team Leader, you will work closely with operators and industry stakeholders to promote safety, ensure compliance, and support best practice.

You'll be a great communicator who can engage with different people, explain safety requirements clearly, and support industries in meeting their obligations. Your ability to think critically and find practical solutions will help improve safety outcomes. Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- A valid driver's licence (regular travel required).

- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to adapt to change and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Desirable:
- Certificate IV in Government Investigations or equivalent qualification.
- Marine licence with PWC endorsement (preferred for those working in maritime safety).
- Experience working with compliance agencies or within a safety inspectorate environment.
