Arcus Autos are looking for an experienced mechanic to join our team.

The candidate must be reliable, self-motivated and be able to work un-supervised and maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Duties and responsibilities:

You will be required to work on a wide range of makes and models. The role will include, but is not limited to the following:

Carry out general servicing, repairs and vehicle inspections.

Engine work, including diagnosing faults, dismantling and rebuilding engine components, performing repairs and replacements, and ensuring optimal engine performance
Candidate MUST have drivers' licence and own tools.

Find and diagnose complex mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools and equipment
Air conditioning repairs
Transmission work – auto and manual.
Basic auto electrical work, including testing and fixing faults with electrical systems in vehicles and replacing electrical components such as lights, sensors, and switches
Perform tyre fitting, balancing, and wheel alignment as required
Authorized AIS inspector (Pink Slip) preferable but not essential

Skills and experience:

Relevant qualifications and work experience: Certificate III plus 2 years of on-the-job training or Certificate IV plus one year of relevant work experience or at least three years of relevant work experience.
Diagnostic Experience preferred.
Excellent knowledge of vehicle maintenance, electrical and diagnostic work.
Understanding of automotive workshop processes
