HCC Fleet Services Pty. Ltd. is a trusted automotive repair and maintenance workshop based in Hoppers Crossing. We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Diesel Motor Mechanic to join our growing team on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities and Tasks but not limited to: 

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections, as per manufacturer guidelines.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, structural, electrical, and hydraulic issues in heavy machinery, including tippers and mixers.
• Disassemble and repair parts as required 
• Conduct complex repairs and overhauls to ensure optimal equipment functionality including for drums, tipper mechanisms, mixers and dump bodies.
• Reassemble parts and ensure all is in working order and repairs have been effective
• If required, revisit any repairs and ensure that the trucks and or equipment are in working order.
• Conduct safety inspections on heavy machinery to identify and address potential safety hazards.
• Utilise a variety of standard techniques, and materials such as manuals and/ or computerised equipment to accurately diagnose mechanical and electrical problems in vehicles.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Deliver repairs as required and ensure repairs are effective.
  • Deliver preventive maintenance schedules for all client vehicles.
  • Drum, mixer and dump body maintenance activities. 
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and inspections.
  • Order, track, and manage inventory of replacement parts and components.
• Maintain accurate records of parts usage and reordering.
• Document all maintenance and repair work, including parts used, labour hours, and equipment condition.
• Complete service reports and maintain records for compliance purposes.
• Stay updated on industry advancements, new equipment models, and emerging technologies.
• Provide training and guidance to junior mechanics or apprentices, if applicable.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• Certificate III and IV in Automotive with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• Strong diagnostic skills and ability to troubleshoot effectively.
• Understanding of automotive workshop processes. 
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.

Benefits:

• Job Type: Full-time
• Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 per year
• Location: Hoppers Crossing, 3029, Victoria
