ABOUT THE ROLE:

The TWG Rentals Accountant is responsible for providing data and insights that enable the business to make sound financial decisions to achieve their goals, while meeting compliance requirements.  This role will lead a small team of administration employees to support the TWG Rentals locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide support and guidance to the admin team ensuring outstanding customer service and ensure deadlines are achieved

• Maintaining an enthusiastic attitude to build positive employee behavior and morale, and provide training and guidance, where necessary

• Ensuring adherence by all employees to job descriptions, policies, and operational objectives.

• Conducting regular meetings with Area Managers to ensure that they are working profitably, and efficiently, and are adhering to relevant Policies & Procedures within TWG RentalsEnsure all WHS related policies and procedures are always upheld.

• Manage a comprehensive fleet accounting and analysis system, encompassing both onboarding and decommissioning numerous vehicles, along with overseeing the Asset Register.

• Fortnightly payroll for approximately 60 employees

• Assist the insurance and claims team in processing and recovering from motor vehicle claims.

• Preparation of financial documents including budgets, balance sheets & reports 

• Reconciliation of balance sheets monthly

• Analyse income, operating costs and other expenditure

• Liaise with banks and financial institutions when necessary

• Maintain financial and accounting systems

• Internal audit tasks including reviews of internal controls and financial year end results to ensure the group accounting policies are being adhered to and that the financials are not materially misstated. 

• Identify inefficient processes and design and implement solutions 

• Provide verbal and written reports to our Corporate Team

• Oversee the performance of the locations to ensure their profitability and growth.

• Creating and maintaining a good working relationship with internal and external partners

• Establishing and maintaining internal and external customer relationships and effectively managing and resolving any complaints raised within the team.

• Providing the License Principal and other Corporate Management with opportunities for growth/additions.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to problem solve

• Organised, efficient with strong attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

• Knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• High standards of integrity and work ethic

• Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines

• Proficient in Microsoft word and Microsoft excel

• CA or CPA qualified

• Relevant business management qualification and/or equivalent commercial experience

• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills

• Knowledge of the Rental or travel industry would be advantageous
