As our business continues to grow, we’re looking for a hands-on Financial Controller to oversee all aspects of our financial operations — including payroll and tax preparation — and help guide our dealership into its next chapter of success.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Dealer Principal, the Financial Controller will manage all financial activities across the dealership. You’ll ensure accurate reporting, maintain compliance, and provide practical financial guidance to support both everyday operations and long-term goals. This is a key leadership role in a close-knit team, ideal for someone who enjoys being involved in both strategic planning and the day-to-day financial management of a thriving local business. You will be very well supported by a long term DP/Owners as well as many long term staff & established business partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting and finance functions for the dealership.

• Manage monthly and annual accounts, cash flow, and budgeting processes.

• Prepare and present financial reports and performance insights to management.

• Handle the end-to-end payroll process for all dealership employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance as well and superannuation preparation & payments

• Manage tax preparation and lodgement, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and deadlines.

• Monitor and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.

• Ensure compliance with manufacturer, tax, and audit requirements.

• Work closely with department managers to improve profitability and operational efficiency.

• Implement and maintain strong internal controls and process improvements.

• Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and key partners.

About You

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent), or significant relevant experience.

• Previous experience in a dealership or automotive environment preferred, especially using the TITAN DMS, though strong financial management experience in related industries will be considered.

• Confident managing payroll, tax preparation, accounting systems, and financial reporting.

• Practical, hands-on approach with the ability to multitask in a smaller, dynamic business environment.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills — able to build relationships across all departments.

• Strong attention to detail, integrity, and commitment to accuracy
