About the business

AYAZI SPARE PARTS is a proudly family-owned business, operating in the automotive dismantling and spare parts industry for more than 3 years. They acquire vehicles through Australian auctions and private sellers.

Following acquisition, they systematically dismantle end-of-life vehicles to recover reusable components. These parts are then carefully identified, assessed, and catalogued for resale in the local market as well as for export.

 

Position overview - Accountant (General)

In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting the overall financial operations of the business.

Through your attention to detail and continuous improvement, this position will contribute to the overall effectiveness of the company's financial operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Preparing and analysing financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.

2. Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

3. Identifying and resolving discrepancies in financial data.

4. Preparing taxation returns for the company and liaising with relevant institutions to establish and manage funds arrangements.

5. Analysing, monitoring and maintaining records of day-to-day operating costs, company’s income and expenditure in a timely manner.

6. Providing accurate and timely financial and taxation advice to support the management team’s strategic and operational decision-making.

7. Ensuring the accuracy of financial reports and their compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

8. Maintaining our accounting system, and contributing to implementation of new accounting system such as, MYOB EXO, Xero Accounting software, NetSuite Accounting platform, Sage Intacct, and other computer-based accounting platforms.

9. Implementing and maintaining effective financial controls, policies and procedures.

 

About you

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or higher qualification.

• CPA/CA qualification (or working towards) preferred.

• Proven experience in established accounting role(s).

• Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and regulatory submissions.

• Experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB).

• Advanced Excel skills.

• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

• Good financial and management reporting skills.

• Ability to prioritise and manage conflicting deadlines and work without close supervision.

• $90,000.00 per year
