About the role

Think Sew Mentone is looking for an experienced Tailor and Dressmaker to join our team on a casual basis. Based in Mentone VIC 3194, you will use your exceptional sewing skills to provide high-quality alteration services to our clients.

What you'll be doing

• Providing expert tailoring and dressmaking services, including alterations, hemming, and repairs

• Measuring and fitting clients to ensure a perfect fit

• Selecting appropriate fabrics, trims, and notions to achieve the desired look

• Communicating with clients to understand their needs and preferences

• Maintaining a clean and organised workspace

• Adhering to deadlines and delivering exceptional customer service

What we're looking for

• Extensive experience as a Tailor or Dressmaker, with a strong understanding of fabrics, patterns, and construction techniques

• Minimum 10 + years of professional tailoring and dressmaking experience is required

• Excellent sewing and alterations skills, with the ability to work with a wide range of fabrics

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely

• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work well in a team

• Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work on a casual basis

• Must be able to work independently
