Cleaning Equipment Repairs is seeking a dedicated Small Engine Mechanic to be the hands-on expert keeping top-tier commercial cleaning equipment—such as industrial sweepers, floor scrubbers, and high-pressure washers—operating at peak performance. In this role, you will apply your mechanical expertise to diagnose equipment faults, test and adjust mechanical components, repair or replace defective parts, and conduct routine preventative maintenance. Task & responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and operational faults across a wide range of commercial cleaning equipment, including industrial sweepers, floor scrubbers, and high-pressure washers.
• Repair or replace defective mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components to restore machinery to peak operational performance.
• Conduct comprehensive preventative maintenance servicing on client and company-owned equipment to prolong lifespan and prevent unexpected breakdowns.
• Test, tune, and adjust engine components and mechanical systems post-repair to guarantee equipment meets safety and manufacturer standards.
• Perform thorough inspections of incoming machines to accurately identify issues, determine repair requirements, and assist with quoting parts.
• Safely and efficiently operate a variety of specialized hand and power tools within our fully equipped Bentley workshop.
• Maintain accurate service records, log completed repair work, and clearly communicate technical issues and equipment status to the service management team.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues across multiple top-tier cleaning equipment brands to deliver prompt, reliable, and high-quality solutions for our clients.

Qualification & experience

• Hold an AQF Certificate III in Outdoor Power Equipment Technology or an equivalent relevant trade qualification.
• Demonstrate proven experience servicing, diagnosing, and repairing small engines, ideally with prior exposure to commercial cleaning machinery or outdoor power equipment.
• Possess strong technical aptitude to expertly dismantle, rebuild, test, and adjust mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components to strict manufacturer standards.
• Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills to accurately troubleshoot complex operational faults, coupled with a valid Western Australian driver's licence.
