We are looking for the right candidate to join our team as a Small Engine Mechanic responsible for maintaining our machinery, equipment and vehicles. 

The Small Engine Mechanic will be responsible for: 

•    Perform daily routine checks on all machinery, equipment and vehicles

•    Ensure machinery and vehicles are serviced within their scheduled dates or Kms/ hours.

•    Repair, replace or reassemble worn, defective, or broken parts in line with service manuals. Reassemble and reinstall components and engines following repairs.

•    Identify issues and dismantle components as required. Diagnose through an order of elimination by checking for leaks, dust clogged particles in pipes or electrical hazards.

•    Ensure machinery accessories are in working order. Machinery operation at correct RPM and correct pressure is regulated through unloader valve.

•    Make sure all equipment is in working order focusing on pressure hoses and venture are in working orders, no kinks, cuts or tears.

•    Check all vehicles are in working order and equipped with the correct tools.

•    Ensure machinery is tested to ensure the pressure is consistent and doesn't taper through the use of pressure gauge.

•    Road test vehicles after service or repair is carried out ensuring ECU does not show warnings and all defective warning are all cleared.

•    Mobile Mechanic: Repair machinery and vehicles on-site as required.

•    Maintain machinery and vehicle parts are available and in stock.

Qualification and Exprience Required 

Relevant Certificate Ill or IV + 2 years relevant experience 

OR

3 years relevant experience in substitute to the qualification

•    Candidate must be a quick learner, attentive and switched on, helpful personality, poses strong work ethic and have the ability to undertake manual and physical work.

•    Experience in motor vehicle mechanic and small petrol engine Honda GX690, GX630 desirable
