Salary: AUD 75,000 – 85,000 + super

Top One Crew Pty Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic (general) to join our team in Wolli Creek.

In this role, you will diagnose faults, carry out mechanical repairs and perform scheduled maintenance on light vehicles. We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, works safely and communicates effectively with colleagues and customers.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Diagnose mechanical and related electrical faults using diagnostic scan tools, testing equipment and physical inspections.
• Inspect engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, brakes and associated components to identify faults, wear, damage and leaks.
• Remove and dismantle engine assemblies, transmissions and other mechanical components as required for inspection and repair.
• Repair or replace worn and defective components in accordance with manufacturer specifications and service manuals.
• Reassemble and refit engines and mechanical components, ensuring correct connections, fluid levels and torque settings.
• Perform scheduled servicing, including oil and filter changes, lubrication, fluid checks, spark plug replacement and belt inspections.
• Test and adjust repaired components, check for leaks and conduct road tests where required to confirm safe and effective operation.
• Inspect tyres and carry out appropriate puncture repairs where required.
• Identify vehicle safety defects and document repairs needed to restore safe operating condition.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, diagnostic findings, servicing, repairs and parts used.
• Explain repair findings and maintenance requirements clearly to customers or the workshop supervisor.
• Assist with breakdown callouts when required, including diagnosing starting problems and providing appropriate battery assistance.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area, care for tools and equipment, and report equipment faults.
• Follow work health and safety procedures, use appropriate protective equipment and dispose of workshop waste responsibly.

What you'll require is:

• A minimum of a Certificate IV in a relevant automotive mechanical field, or an equivalent qualification. Or an AQF Certificate III in a relevant automotive mechanical field including at least two years of on-the-job training, or at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above. 
• At least one year of relevant employment experience as a motor mechanic.
• A current NSW motor vehicle tradesperson certificate covering motor mechanic work, or equivalent authorisation recognised in NSW
• A current driver licence valid in NSW and suitable for conducting vehicle road tests.

What we offer

• Full-time, permanent employment.
• An annual salary of $75,000 – $85,000 plus superannuation, depending on qualifications and experience.
