La Vela Head Spa is seeking a passionate and professional Massage, Spa or Beauty Therapist to join our tranquil and elegant spa locations in Brisbane and Palm Beach. We specialise in premium head spa services that support skin and scalp health, hair wellness, and deep, restorative relaxation.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Senior Beauty Therapist to join our team at La Vela Head Spa in Ashgrove. You'll deliver a range of skincare and beauty treatments including facial therapies, scalp care, massage and body treatments. You'll also support our training and development helping new team members upskill and maintaining our treatment standards.

What you'll do

• Conduct skin and scalp analyses, tailor treatment plans for clients

• Deliver facial treatments, skincare routines and specialised therapies

• Perform massage treatments on face, scalp, neck and shoulders

• Perform high-quality massage and/or body treatments

• Deliver calming, results-driven head spa services

• Create a serene and welcoming environment for every client

• Educate clients on scalp and hair aftercare (training provided)

• Maintain a high standard of hygiene, safety standards and cleanliness

• Train and mentor junior therapists; lead monthly skills sessions

• Maintain and document treatment processes and SOP

• Work as part of a small, professional, supportive and caring team

What We’re Looking For

• 2-3 years’ experience in massage, beauty, or holistic therapy

• Certificate III/IV or Diploma in Massage or Beauty Therapy

• Knowledge of skin analysis, facial and body treatments, and massage techniques

• Knowledge of anatomy, pressure points, and relaxation techniques

• Excellent communication, empathy, and client service skills

• Calm, professional, and nurturing personality

• Ability to work independently and within a team

• Strong commitment to hygiene, cleanliness, safety standards and client care

Highly regarded:

• Experience in facial sculpting, microdermabrasion or specialised skincare protocols

• Training experience or mentoring of junior therapists

• Experience in head spa or scalp treatments

• Experience in pregnancy massage, facials, or natural therapies

• First Aid Certificate
