Gorilla Cars is a busy established used car yard in Brisbane. We are a family run business selling quality used cars to the general public. 

The Gorilla has been climbing the ranks within the automotive industry, we have seen substantial growth in recent years and we are not just talking about our follower counts. The opportunity for a newly established position has presented itself to further push Gorilla Cars to its rightful throne at the top of automotive jungle.

The dealership is on the hunt for a motivated and vibrant individual to tackle social media/marketing tasks and become the driving force behind growing our online presence. Our company slogan is ‘no monkey business’ - we are serious about cars but not so serious in our workplace culture (we love a good joke). We want someone who can fit well within our quirky office atmosphere and make our audience go bananas with our quality products, low prices and witty advertising! Essentially, if Gorilla's could drive, you will be our go-to social media Silverback with the pedal to the metal, replying to DMs mid-swing.

The tasks of the successful applicant will include

• Driving social media presence through graphics, videos, and written posts

• Interaction and engagement with our followers to build stronger relationships and consumer confidence 

• Analyse performance metrics to optimise campaigns and improve audience engagement

• Manage multiple social platforms such as Facebook Meta, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube etc

• Manage social media content calendars to ensure timely and consistent posting

Applicants will ideally meet the following criteria:

✔ A creative thinker with a monkey grip tight understanding of social media algorithms and trends
✔ Must have excellent writing and communication skills
✔ Must be friendly, committed and reliable
✔ Ability to work autonomously and have pride in their work
✔ Experience with product photography, video editing and graphic design. Must have video editing experience
✔ Bonus points if applicant holds a manual drivers license & is funny af
 

This is a flexible, part time position offering at least 3 days a week. There is a strong opportunity for the position to transfer into full-time in the future. The position may be suitable to a marketing intern/student. Resume's with links to previous works, videos, TikToks etc will be ideal.
