The candidate must be reliable, self-motivated and be able to work un-supervised and maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Duties and responsibilities:

You will be required to work on a wide range of makes and models.  The role will include, but is not limited to the following:

• Carry out general servicing, repairs and vehicle inspections.

• Engine work, including diagnosing faults, dismantling and rebuilding engine components, performing repairs and replacements, and ensuring optimal engine performance
• Candidate MUST have drivers' licence and own tools.

• Find and diagnose complex mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools and equipment 
• Air conditioning repairs 
• Transmission work – auto and manual.
• Basic auto electrical work, including testing and fixing faults with electrical systems in vehicles and replacing electrical components such as lights, sensors, and switches
• Perform tyre fitting, balancing, and wheel alignment as required
• Authorized AIS inspector (Pink Slip) preferable but not essential

Skills and experience:

• Relevant qualifications and work experience: Certificate III plus 2 years of on-the-job training or Certificate IV plus one year of relevant work experience or at least three years of relevant work experience. 
• Diagnostic Experience preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of vehicle maintenance, electrical and diagnostic work.
• Understanding of automotive workshop processes
