You will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicles are in optimal working condition, adhering to safety standards, and performing preventative maintenance. Your role will involve working with a range of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems. You should be comfortable using diagnostic tools and equipment and have a strong understanding of vehicle systems and components.

Task & responsibilities

• Using test equipment to locate electrical and electronic malfunctions
• Perform routine maintenance and preventative care on vehicles.
• Adjusting engine control systems and timing
• Repair and replace faulty parts and components.
• Conduct inspections and ensure vehicles meet safety standards.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work.
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines.
• Test drive vehicles to ensure proper functioning.
• Provide estimates for repair costs and timelines.
• Assist with the installation of new equipment and systems.

Qualification & experience

• Australian/NZ Recognized relevant mechanical Trade certificate
• Current Driver’s License
• Minimum 3 years’ previous experience as an Auto Electrician 
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
