Maintenance & Repairs · Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on fixed plant including conveyors, feeders, hoppers, transfer stations, chutes, and mechanical drive systems. · Inspect, service and repair gearboxes, bearings, pulleys, belts, pumps, hydraulic and pneumatic components. · Carry out breakdown repairs in a timely manner to support barge loading schedule requirements. · Perform mechanical isolations, tag-outs, and assist electricians during multidisciplinary tasks. · Troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify root causes to improve reliability. · Assist in shutdown planning, execution and recommissioning. · Maintain and repair small plant such as lighting towers, portable pumps, generators, hand tools and ancillary mechanical equipment. · Conduct inspection and servicing of mobile conveyors and small powered equipment (where applicable) Safety & Compliance · Comply with the WA Mines Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations, Australian Standards, KMG policies and site procedures. · Complete JHAs, Take 5s, risk assessments and permits as required. · Follow isolation procedures and support lock-out/tag-out requirements. · Maintain housekeeping in workshops, laydown areas and work zones. · Identify mechanical hazards and implement corrective actions. · Use Skytrust to: - Record maintenance tasks - Log hazards, incidents, and near misses - Complete statutory inspections (e.g., lifting, pressure, small plant) - Track assigned actions to close-out Teamwork & Communication · Work closely with the transhipping operations team to coordinate maintenance around loading schedules. · Participate in toolbox meetings and contribute to continuous improvement activities. · Liaise with contractors, vendors and suppliers where required.
