Key Responsibilities :

• Diagnose, test, and repair vehicle engines, transmissions, suspension, and steering systems.
• Perform regular vehicle maintenance and inspections to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Replace defective parts in engines, transmissions, braking, and cooling systems.
• Tune engines and ensure that vehicles operate smoothly and safely.
• Perform complex overhauls on major vehicle systems.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify issues and provide recommendations for repair solutions.
• Maintain service records and ensure all repairs meet company standards and customer satisfaction.
• Perform advanced diagnostic assessments on complex vehicle faults requiring higher-level technical expertise.
• Assist with work allocation and technical support within the workshop to maintain efficiency and quality control.
• Ensure final inspections and road testing are completed to confirm repairs meet safety and performance standards.
• Assist with on-the-job supervision and training of junior staff, focusing on workmanship quality and safety compliance.

Requirements:

• Relevant TRADE qualifications. At least Certificate III/IV.
• A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience as a Motor Mechanic
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems and mechanical operations.
• Australian drivers’ license & ability to drive manuals.
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
