The job requires carrying out motor vehicle inspections, servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of customer vehicles and company fleet vehicles, ensuring they are safe, reliable, and maintained to the highest industry standards.

Task & responsibilities

1. Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults across a variety of vehicle makes and models.
2. Perform servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance on engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, braking systems, and other vehicle components.
3. Carry out routine servicing, including oil and filter changes, inspections, and safety checks.
4. Conduct road tests where required to assess vehicle performance and verify repairs.
5. Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications and Australian workplace health and safety standards.
6. Maintain accurate repair, service, and inspection records.
7. Work effectively with colleagues to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and within required timeframes.
8. Assist in maintaining the company's vehicle fleet in a safe and roadworthy condition.

Qualification & experience

1. Relevant trade qualification as a Motor Mechanic or equivalent.
2. Minimum 1–3 years of recent experience in a similar role.
3. Sound diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
4. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.
5. Good communication and organisational skills.
6. Experience servicing and repairing a broad range of vehicle makes and models.
7. Will provide any updated training if necessary.
