The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, maintaining and repairing a variety of light motor vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical faults using diagnostic equipment and testing procedures.
• Perform scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Repair and replace engines, transmissions and mechanical components.
• Inspect and repair braking, steering and suspension systems.
• Test and adjust mechanical components following repairs.
• Carry out engine tune-ups and performance checks.
• Identify worn or defective parts and recommend appropriate repairs.
• Maintain accurate service and repair records.
• Ensure work complies with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.

Qualifications & Experience

• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent relevant qualification.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant Motor Mechanic experience.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Current driver's licence preferred.
