The successful applicant will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and maintaining a wide range of passenger vehicles while ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Perform routine vehicle servicing and maintenance.
• Repair and replace engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, braking, and other vehicle components.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and identify required repairs.
• Carry out testing and adjustments following repairs.
• Maintain accurate service records and job documentation.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements.
• Provide professional customer service and technical advice where required.

Essential Requirements

• Relevant qualification equivalent to an Australian Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or similar or higher qualification.
• At least 1 year of relevant post-qualification experience as an automotive mechanic.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair a broad range of vehicle faults.
• Strong understanding of vehicle servicing and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Current driver's licence.

Desirable Requirements

• Experience working with diagnostic scan tools.
• Experience with a variety of vehicle makes and models
• Experience supervising apprentices or junior mechanics.
• Positive skills assessment
