Task & responsibilities

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Diagnosing a variety of automotive makes and models

• Staying updated on industry trends and integrating new techniques to enhance quality and efficiency

• Running diagnostic tests and inspecting vehicles to identify issues

• Using specialized tools and equipment for accurate fault diagnosis

• Repairing, replacing, or dismantling defective parts or equipment and mechanical components

• Performing various mechanical repairs, including routine services, brake and clutch repairs, timing belt work, and more 

• Changing engine and transmission oils

• Completing quality checks before vehicle handovers

• Conducting roadworthy tests

• Using computer systems for diagnostics and testing 

• Interacting with customers to explain services, provide estimates, and address enquiries, ensuring satisfaction

• Following safety protocols, reporting hazards, and maintaining workshop cleanliness

Qualification & experience

Cert III or Diploma of Automotive Technology in the automotive field, with 1-2 years of relevant experience
