MSS Security is seeking experienced Security Officers to carry out gatehouse duties at our Hastings location.



This position requires background checks, which may take up to two months to complete.

About the role: As a Gatehouse Security Officer, your primary responsibility will be controlling access to the site by monitoring and recording all vehicle and personnel movements. You will be required to check identification, issue visitor passes, manage deliveries, and maintain accurate entry and exit logs. Ensuring only authorised individuals gain access, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the security and integrity of the premises. The position also involves regular communication with internal teams, responding to incidents or alarms, and providing a professional first point of contact for all site visitors. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Maintain constant vigilance to protect assets and ensure site security.
• Respond to emergencies promptly and report incidents in accordance with company protocols.
• Monitor CCTV systems and communicate effectively via two-way radios to coordinate security operations.
• Deliver outstanding customer service while acting as the first point of contact for visitors and staff.
• Control access to the site by verifying credentials and managing entry points.
• Conduct regular foot and vehicle patrols to deter unauthorised activity and ensure safety across the premises

What we are looking for:

• Full Australian Working Rights
• A valid Victorian Security License (Control Room License preferred but not essential)
• Valid VIC Drivers License
• First Aid & CPR (Or willing to obtain)
• Flexible availability across 24-hour rotating shifts, including weekends
• Demonstrated experience in Security roles in a high surveillance environment - Industrial security operations will be highly regarded
