From concerts, sporting events, and Vivid Sydney to large-scale public gatherings, you’ll play a key role in keeping attendees safe, ensuring smooth operations, and protecting valuable assets — all while gaining experience that can take your security career to the next level.

$37–$47/hour + Public Holiday Rates and Superannuation

What You Will Be Doing

As an ACESGroup Security Officer, you play a vital role in keeping events safe and enjoyable. Your responsibilities may include:
• Welcoming and assisting event attendees with a customer-focused approach
• Managing ticketing and credential checks at entry points
• Conducting bag checks for restricted or prohibited items
• Roaming crowds to monitor behaviour and maintain a safe environment
• Managing crowd flow and providing event and venue information
• Securing perimeters and managing restricted areas (backstage, performance zones, field of play)
• Protecting assets, staff, and key personnel
• Monitoring, responding to, and reporting incidents
• Preparing general security reports and logs

What You Will Need

To be eligible, you must have:
• A valid NSW 1A Security Licence
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Competency Card
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and varied event hours
• Strong communication skills and a passion for providing excellent customer service
• Punctuality, reliability, and professionalism
• An appreciation for events, sports, and entertainment
• Physical stamina to remain alert and active for long periods, often outdoors
