Mechanical Testing Services is part of the Industry Services Global Business Line, and it includes NDT, Materials Testing, Specialist Services, Welding Services and NDT Training and Consulting.
About the role
We have an exciting opportunity available for casual and fulltime Trades Assistants to join our Industry Services team in Adelaide, supporting our qualified machinists. The ideal candidate will be process driven, able to work autonomously, possess exceptional attention to detail, a strong work ethic and the ability to complete tasks within required timeframes.

As a Trades Assistant, you will assist with:
Sample preparation involving cutting of test specimens from both ferrous and non- ferrous test plates using a combination of bandsaws and oxy-cutting equipment.
Sample preparation using grinders and linishing equipment.
Collecting and collating of test plates.
General workshop duties including maintenance and cleaning.
Forklift duties (forklift license training will be provided for the right candidate).
Essential Requirements:
Strong commitment to OHS&E policies and procedures.
Experience with power tools and preferably cutting equipment.
Mechanical aptitude.
Driver’s License (or in the process of obtaining one).
Police Clearance.
Must be an Australian citizen or have full Australian working rights.
