Join a growing heavy-vehicle repair workshop with modern facilities in Narangba and Caboolture, QLD. Working full-time, you’ll diagnose, service and overhaul North American, Japanese and European trucks, trailers and mobile plant for customers across Brisbane’s northern corridor.

Task & responsibilities

· Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in diesel engines, transmissions, steering, suspension and braking systems

· Dismantle, repair and re-assemble engines, gearboxes, drivelines and related components

· Perform scheduled maintenance, oil changes, tune-ups and roadworthy/COI inspections

· Test, adjust and calibrate repaired components to factory specifications

· Respond to breakdown call-outs to minimise client downtime

· Manufacture and fit hydraulic hoses and ancillary equipment when required

· Maintain digital job cards, follow WHS procedures and keep the work area safe and tidy

Qualification & experience

• Trade qualification: AQF Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology, Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent overseas trade certificate
• Minimum three (3) years’ full-time, post-trade diesel-mechanic experience (five years preferred)
• Proficiency with diagnostic scan tools and electronic service manuals
• Sound computer skills for digital job cards and parts catalogues
• Commitment to safe work practices, quality workmanship and customer service
• HR licence and hydraulic-hose manufacturing experience (highly regarded)
