The Opportunity

We are seeking a hands-on and motivated Service Engineer to join our growing national service team.

Based in Dandenong South, this role will support customers across Melbourne, regional Victoria, and interstate as required. You will play a critical role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and uptime of advanced packaging and processing equipment through installation, commissioning, maintenance, and technical support.

Key Responsibilities

Installation & Commissioning

• Install, commission, and configure packaging and automation equipment at customer sites

• Prepare equipment for delivery, including workshop testing and setup

• Validate machine performance and ensure compliance with OEM specifications

Maintenance & Technical Support

• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults

• Respond to breakdowns and minimise customer downtime through effective troubleshooting

• Carry out modifications, upgrades, and optimisation of existing equipment

Customer Support & Training

• Provide on-site technical support and build strong customer relationships

• Deliver operator and maintenance training following installation

• Support customers with best practices for operation, cleaning, and maintenance

• Act as a key interface between customers and internal technical teams

Service Operations & Reporting

• Maintain accurate service reports, machine condition reports, and documentation

• Record service activities, parts usage, and recommendations within CRM systems

• Participate in troubleshooting and service planning with the broader team

Additional Responsibilities

• Conduct equipment inspections, audits, and health checks

• Support product testing, demonstrations, and trade show activities

• Maintain tools, workshop equipment, and a safe working environment

• Travel across Victoria and interstate as required

About You

You are a practical, technically capable Service Engineer who takes pride in delivering high-quality work and customer outcomes.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in industrial machinery, packaging, or automation

• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting capability

• Victorian Unrestricted Electrical Licence (essential)

• Experience in field service or customer-facing technical roles

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation

• Highly organised with strong time management skills

• Confident communicator with a professional and customer-focused approach

• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team

• Willingness to travel across Australia as required

• Current Australian driver’s licence
