ACS Australia is currently seeking motivated Composites Technicians to join our skilled team in Melbourne. In this hands-on role, you will play a key part in manufacturing, assembling, and repairing advanced composite components and structures, utilising state-of-the-art materials and processes to achieve exceptional quality and precision.

Key responsibilities and duties:
Perform layup and infusion of composite materials to fabricate components for a range of applications
Inspect, trim, and finish composite parts in accordance with technical specifications
Operate hand tools, machinery, and equipment for cutting, shaping, and finishing operations
Prepare moulds and apply materials following established procedures and best practices
Conduct repairs and maintenance on composite parts and products
Collaborate with engineering teams to support the development and prototyping of new composite designs
Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and industry regulations throughout all processes
Document project progress, troubleshoot issues, and report findings accurately
Required skills/experience:
Demonstrated experience in a Composites Technician or comparable hands-on manufacturing role (or strong transferable skills for those entering the field)
Working knowledge of composite materials, including fibre reinforcements, resins, and adhesives
Familiarity with moulding, curing, and trimming techniques
Ability to interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and specifications
High level of attention to detail and commitment to precision workmanship
Understanding of workplace safety protocols and relevant industry standards
Effective communication skills and ability to thrive in a team-oriented setting
Capacity to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision
Preferred skills/qualification:
Formal qualification in composites technology, engineering fabrication, or a related discipline
Hands-on experience with CNC equipment or automated composite manufacturing systems
Prior exposure to aerospace, defence, automotive, or marine composite applications
