Key Responsibilities:

  1. Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in petrol and diesel engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering, suspension, and other vehicle components using diagnostic equipment and testing procedures. 
  2. Inspect vehicles to identify defects, determine repair requirements, and recommend appropriate maintenance solutions. 
  3. Dismantle engines, gearboxes, differentials, steering assemblies, and other mechanical systems for inspection, servicing, and repair. 
  4. Repair and replace worn or damaged engine and vehicle components in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards. 
  5. Reassemble engines and mechanical systems, ensuring all components are correctly installed and operate efficiently. 
  6. Perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance, including engine tune-ups, oil and filter changes, lubrication, cooling system servicing, and replacement of fluids and filters. 
  7. Test and adjust repaired engines and vehicle systems to verify performance, safety, and reliability before returning vehicles to service. 
  8. Use computerized diagnostic equipment to analyse engine management systems, electrical systems, and electronic control units to accurately detect faults. 
  9. Conduct vehicle inspections and  assess roadworthiness or identify repairs required to meet regulatory and safety requirements. 
  10. Respond to vehicle breakdowns by carrying out fault diagnosis and on-site mechanical repairs where required. 
  11. Maintain accurate service records and ensure all repair and maintenance work complies with workplace health and safety requirements, manufacturer guidelines, and industry regulations

Qualification and Experience:

  1. At least Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
  2. At least three Years of experience as Motor mechanic (General).
  3. Ability to communicate in spoken and written English.

Benefits:

Superannuation @12% will be paid along with the base salary.
