Elevate Roof & Building Solutions is hiring an in-house Roof Inspector / Make-Safe Technician to join our growing team.

We are a specialist roof and building consulting company servicing the insurance, strata, commercial and residential sectors across Perth and regional WA. Our work covers roof and building inspections, leak detection, insurance causation assessments, storm damage investigations, emergency make-safe services and asset condition reporting.

This is a chance for an experienced roofing professional to step into a specialised inspection and consulting role while staying hands-on through emergency make-safe work during peak weather.

The Role

Most of your time will be spent on site inspections, investigations and professional reporting:

• Inspecting roofs and buildings across residential, commercial and strata properties

• Investigating water ingress, leaks and building defects

• Identifying defects, damage mechanisms and likely causes of failure

• Capturing site notes, photos and inspection data through our digital systems

• Liaising with insurers, builders, strata managers and property owners

During storm events and peak periods you will also carry out emergency make-safe work: 

temporary weatherproofing, emergency repairs, internal protection measures, ceiling propping and property securing. This hands-on component is a core part of a varied role, and it is where your commission is earned.

About You

You have strong roofing knowledge and can confidently diagnose issues and communicate findings professionally.

Must have:

• A trade background in roof plumbing, roof tiling or commercial/residential roofing

• Current driver's licence and White Card

• Working at Heights certification, or willingness to obtain

• Ability to safely access and work at heights

• Strong written and verbal communication

• Confident with smartphones, tablets and digital job systems

Highly regarded:

• Leak detection and fault finding experience

• Insurance building, loss adjusting, building 

• Assessment or causation experience

• Building defect investigation experience

Above all you are reliable, well presented, organised, safety focused and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.
