Fully Qualified Automotive Service Technician

Join a trusted local dealership and take the next step in your automotive career.

Warragul Toyota is currently seeking a fully qualified Automotive Service Technician to join our busy and professional Service Department.

As a long-standing, family-owned dealership serving Gippsland since 1964, Warragul Toyota is proud to deliver high-quality service, expert workmanship and genuine care to our customers and the local community.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced technician who is looking to join a supportive dealership environment, work with a respected automotive brand, and build a long-term career within a professional automotive team.

Toyota experience or Toyota factory training would be highly regarded, but is not essential.

About the Role

Working as part of our Service Department, you will be responsible for carrying out vehicle servicing, diagnostics, repairs and maintenance to a high professional standard.

You will work alongside an experienced team of technicians, service advisors and workshop support staff, with access to dealership systems, technical information, training and genuine parts.

This role would suit a qualified technician who takes pride in their workmanship, has strong attention to detail and is committed to delivering a high standard of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Carrying out scheduled servicing, maintenance and repairs

  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults

  • Completing work in line with dealership procedures and manufacturer standards

  • Using diagnostic equipment and technical resources

  • Conducting vehicle inspections and identifying required repairs

  • Accurately completing repair orders, job cards and service documentation

  • Working closely with Service Advisors and workshop team members

  • Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area

  • Ensuring all work is completed efficiently, accurately and to a high standard

  • Supporting apprentices and junior technicians where required

About You

The successful applicant will have:

  • Trade qualification as a Light Vehicle Motor Mechanic

  • Previous experience in a dealership, workshop or automotive service environment

  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

  • A high level of attention to detail

  • Pride in workmanship and a commitment to quality

  • The ability to work well in a team environment

  • Good communication and time management skills

  • A reliable, punctual and professional approach

  • A current Victorian Driver Licence

Desirable Skills and Experience

The following would be highly regarded, but are not essential:

  • Toyota dealership experience

  • Toyota factory training or Toyota diagnostic experience

  • Previous dealership workshop experience

  • Hybrid vehicle knowledge or hybrid training

  • Roadworthy licence

  • Experience using dealership systems and diagnostic equipment

Why Join Warragul Toyota?

At Warragul Toyota, you will become part of a respected local dealership with a strong reputation for customer service, professionalism and community connection.

We offer:

  • A supportive and experienced workshop team

  • Ongoing training and development opportunities

  • Access to diagnostic equipment and technical support

  • A busy, well-established Service Department

  • A strong team culture

  • Long-term career opportunities within a trusted local business
