Quality Inspector/Engineer About Us Located in Croydon, Hargo Engineering was established in 1976 and is a family-owned engineering company that provide world-class, high precision and repetition component manufacturing services.   We manufacture complex components to extremely tight tolerances for the automotive, defence, aerospace, medical and commercial industries across Australia as well as the international market.  We are seeking a highly skilled, driven and experienced Quality Inspector/Engineer to join our quality team.    You will support the manufacturing of high precision, complex components performing dimensional inspections, addressing quality issues, driving continuous improvement and contribute to the manufacture of high-quality products that exceed our customer expectations.  The successful applicant will thrive working in a team environment whilst having the ability to work autonomously to achieve the desired results.   Primary Areas of Responsibility: Perform dimensional inspections using advanced metrology equipment, including CMMs, Micro-vus and precision measuring tools Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards to ensure product compliance Develop, manage and maintain quality control processes and inspection plans Analyse measurement date, compile reports and communicate findings with production and engineering teams Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying quality issue and recommending corrective actions  Assist with calibration and maintenance of measurement instruments  Develop strong internal relationships to facilitate collaboration with cross functional teams to address quality challenges and contribute to ensure smooth workflow   What you bring to the role: Proven experience in a quality engineering role, ideally in a precision engineering or manufacturing role Strong proficiency in metrology techniques, experience with CMM programming and operation  Ability to read and interpret engineering drawing, GD&T, and technical specifications Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems   Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data, solve problems and recommend data driven decisions  Meticulous attention to detail and ability to focus   Strong communication skills both written and verbal Understanding and commitment to work health and safety within a manufacturing environment    Added Extras: Experience with VDMIS software and statistical analysis tools Relevant certifications in quality management or metrology  Thorough understanding of the requirements of SAE AS 9100, AS/NZS ISO9001 quality management systems   This is a full-time position working 38 hours a week with an early finish Friday.   7.00am – 3.30pm Monday – Thursday, and 7.00am – 1.00pm Friday.    If you are passionate about quality and delivering excellence, we encourage you to apply and become a valued member of our team.    Please apply with a copy of your CV and a cover letter telling us a little bit about yourself and why you would like to become part of the Hargo team.    To be considered for this position you must have current Australian Working Rights and be living in Australia.
