About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our workshop on a full-time basis. This is a genuine, long-term position supporting the business’s day-to-day mechanical operations, including vehicle servicing, diagnostics, repairs and ongoing maintenance work.

Task & responsibilities

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Diagnosing mechanical faults in petrol and diesel vehicles

Carrying out servicing, maintenance and scheduled logbook services

Repairing and replacing engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering and suspension components

Conducting vehicle inspections and identifying safety and mechanical issues

Using diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot faults

Ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer specifications and industry standards

Maintaining accurate service and repair records

Complying with workplace health and safety requirements

Working collaboratively with other mechanics and workshop staff

Qualification & experience

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

Relevant trade qualification as a Motor Mechanic (Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent)

Minimum 3 years of full-time, post-qualification work experience as a Motor Mechanic

Proven experience working on a range of vehicles

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Commitment to quality workmanship and safety standards
