Goodyear Autocare Preston is a well-established automotive service Centre providing comprehensive vehicle servicing, mechanical repairs, diagnostics, tyre fitting and wheel alignment services. We are seeking an experienced and qualified Motor Mechanic to join our growing team on a full-time basis.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Carry out servicing, maintenance, oil changes and repairs on a wide range of passenger vehicles.
• Perform engine, transmission, steering, suspension and brake repairs.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and identify repair requirements.
• Complete logbook servicing in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Repair and replace vehicle components including clutches, suspension and braking systems.
• Perform wheel alignments and other mechanical adjustments where required.
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure all work complies with workplace safety requirements.
• Liaise with customers where necessary regarding vehicle repairs and maintenance recommendations

Qualification & experience

Essential Requirements

• Relevant trade qualification in Motor Mechanics or equivalent.
• Certificate IV in Automotive qualification required.
• Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Current Australian Driver License (preferred).
