The Role
The Organisation & Methods Analyst will work closely with the CEO to improve the existing and emerging organisational structures, methods, systems and procedures (such as the Torres Strait & Papua New-Guinea lobster industry) and identify opportunities for future business development.
Specifically, the Organisation & Methods Analyst will have responsibility to achieve and maintain premium lobster quality, involving:
· Assisting and encouraging the development of strategies aimed at achieving premium lobster quality and efficient use of organisations’ resource.
· Discussing business and quality shortcomings with primary stakeholders.
· Analysing and evaluating current systems and structures.
· Discussing current system with staff and observing systems at all levels of organisation (Torres Strait factory, MG Kailis 3 motherships, Cairns factory)
· Directing primary stakeholders towards more efficient organisation and developing solutions to organisational problems
· Reviewing and analysing production chain processes
· Recording and analysing primary stakeholder’s and organisations’ quality records and reports
· Preparing and recommending proposals to revise methods and procedures and resolve organisational quality issues.
· Assisting in implementing approved recommendations, issuing procedure manuals, and drafting documentation.
· Assess audit planning, questioning techniques and recording of evidence.
· Communicate effectively and clearly record and report.
· Analytical and proven auditing skills.
Commercial responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Analysis of production chain performance to enhance cost effectiveness, profitability and return on investment.
Organisation & Methods Analyst Profile
Professional/technical skills and experience required.
· Experience handling crustaceans (Experience with Panulirus ornatus will be highly regarded)
· Experience within a private company highly desirable.
· Familiarity with a commodity-based business, and/or wholesale experience and exposure to international trading will be helpful.
· Experience with Aquaculture systems operation and engineering is desirable.

Education
· A tertiary biological sciences/Aquaculture degree, with relevant post-graduate degrees highly regarded.
· Competent analytical skills are required.
