About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to lead our manufacturing team and oversee the day-to-day production operations at our facility.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring production activities are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while meeting customer demand and business objectives. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong people management skills, operational knowledge, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

What You Will Be Doing

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, coach, and develop the production team to achieve operational objectives.

• Foster a positive, accountable, and high-performing team culture.

• Ensure employees receive appropriate training, mentoring, and ongoing development.

• Manage employee performance, attendance, and day-to-day supervision.

Production Operations

• Supervise daily production activities, including blending, batching, filling, packing, labelling, and palletising.

• Coordinate production schedules to ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on time.

• Monitor production output, labour utilisation, and operational performance.

• Ensure production documentation, batch records, and manufacturing paperwork are completed accurately.

Resource Planning & Inventory

• Allocate labour, equipment, and production resources to maximise efficiency.

• Coordinate the availability of raw materials and packaging to support production requirements.

• Work closely with warehouse and procurement teams to minimise downtime and maintain stock accuracy.

Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement

• Ensure all products are manufactured in accordance with quality standards and specifications.

• Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions.

• Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, reduce waste, and control costs.

Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance

• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all production activities.

• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, environmental legislation, company policies, and safe operating procedures.

• Conduct workplace inspections, hazard reporting, incident investigations, and corrective actions where required.

Equipment & Maintenance

• Monitor plant and equipment performance and coordinate maintenance requirements.

• Ensure production equipment is operated safely and maintained in good working order to minimise downtime.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in a Production Supervisor or Manufacturing Supervisor role.

• Experience working within a chemical, manufacturing, food, pharmaceutical, or similar production environment.

• Strong leadership and people management skills.

• Sound knowledge of production planning, quality systems, and manufacturing processes.

• A commitment to workplace health and safety.

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.

• Experience using production documentation and inventory systems.

• Current Forklift Licence (desirable).

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement principles (desirable).
