We are currently seeking an experienced Procurement Officer for an exciting opportunity within our Purchasing Department based in Salisbury, Brisbane, Australia. The Procurement Officer will report to the General Manager Supply Chain.

 

About the Role:

We are seeking a parental leave cover for a period of 12 months to support local and international purchasing for EGR.

In your role you will operate as a Procurement Officer and will be required to:

· Manage the order, supply and inventory levels for auto division equipment, and services

· Manage the relationship with major suppliers (products and services) ensuring cost effective supply

· Contribute procurement elements together with product development to the new component register and change requests and deviations

· Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for local and some overseas suppliers

· Supplier management in operational life including in contract term negotiations

· Contribute suggestions and execution of continuous improvement and refinement of EGR procedures

· Determine potential shortages, expedite where possible and communicate changes to production and stores

· Establishing and managing service contracts with suppliers

· Consulting with and supporting auto departments with their procurement needs

· Soliciting competitive bids through requests for proposals (RFP), requests for quotations (RFQ) and requests for information (RFI) submitting recommendations, as required

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have the following:

· Tertiary Qualification

· Preferable qualifications in procurement, logistics, materials and contract management combined with practical experience or at least 2 years relevant occupational experience

· High attention to detail

· Knowledge of MRP principles

· Excellent negotiation skills (desirable)

· Computer literacy in QAD (desirable), Microsoft suite of tools especially Excel, Word, Teams, and Outlook
