Task & Responsibilities

• Use computerized diagnostic equipment to evaluate the condition and performance of vehicle systems
• Disassemble transmissions, engine systems, steering components, and other assemblies to assess wear or damage
• Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, engine tune-ups, and lubrication to ensure optimal performance and compliance with emissions standards
• Attend to roadside breakdowns when required, providing on-the-spot diagnostics and minor repairs
• Test and adjust mechanical parts after repairs to ensure systems are operating correctly
• Reassemble engines and mechanical components following repairs, ensuring all systems are properly aligned and functioning
• Inspect vehicles to determine roadworthiness and, if authorized, issue roadworthy certificates or recommend required repairs
• Diagnose and locate mechanical and electrical faults in engines and vehicle systems using both manual and electronic diagnostic methods
• Repair or replace worn or faulty components by referencing technical manuals and vehicle specifications
