REBECCA TAXI BASE PTY LTD is seeking an experienced and qualified Motor Mechanic to join its growing team. This full-time, ongoing role offers the opportunity to apply your skills in servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of vehicles.

Salary range: $70,000 - $85,000 per Annum + Superannuation.

Task & responsibilities

• Provide first-rate servicing, maintenance and repairs to a wide range of petrol and hybrid vehicles. 
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using specialised diagnostic equipment and testing procedures. 
• Perform routine maintenance services, including oil and filter changes, brake inspections, tyre rotations and scheduled servicing. 
• Carry out complex mechanical repairs, including engine rebuilds, transmission overhauls, engine replacements and the replacement of worn or damaged component.
• Inspect, test and adjust vehicle systems and components to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. 
• Conduct road tests where required to verify repairs and ensure vehicles meet performance and safety standards. 
• Maintain accurate service records and document repairs, inspections and parts used. 
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and workshop procedures. 
• Adhere to workplace health and safety requirements by following safety protocols, correctly handling hazardous materials and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
•  Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment while contributing positively to the team.

Qualification & experience

• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent), plus at least two years of on-the-job training, or an equivalent qualification. 
• At least one year of post-qualification professional experience as a Motor Mechanic, with additional experience highly regarded. 
• Demonstrated passion for the automotive industry and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. 
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. 
• Strong diagnostic, servicing and repair skills across a wide range of vehicles. 
• Excellent time management and organisational skills. 
• A positive, can-do attitude with a strong work ethic and team spirit.
