Project Overview:

Pluto Train 2 is the expansion of a second LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility near Karratha in Western Australia run by Woodside Energy. 

Pluto Train 2 will process Scarborough gas and have an LNG capacity of ~5 million tonnes per annum. As part of the construction of Pluto Train 2, additional domestic gas infrastructure will be installed to increase capacity to ~225 terajoules per day.   

Woodside Energy has selected Bechtel to deliver the Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning scope of work for Pluto Train 2.

What’s on Offer

• 3:1 roster, FIFO to Karratha with direct flight from Perth or Brisbane

• 68-hour work week

• Fly home the morning of your 21st day, paid at ordinary hours!  

• RDO is accrued - choose to have it paid during RNR or at the end of your contract

• $1.93 per hour tradesperson allowance 

• $5.40 per hour site allowance

• $175 per week Project Incentive Payment (PIP)

• Severance payment of 2 x base hourly rate per week

• Weekly pay!

About the Role

Reporting to the Piping Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

• Read and interpret Isometric drawings

• Site measure and fit large bore and small-bore pipe

• Work to Bechtel piping procedures and tolerances

• Installation of pipe supports

• Complete Flange Management and ITR’s

• Work with supervision and engineering to complete IWP’s

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience in a similar position 

• Experience reading isometric drawings and use of P&IDs

• Previous experience using clamshell and oxy cutting

• Australian recognised fabrication or fitting trade certificate 

• White Card

• Pre-employment medical screening

Additional Information:

This position has responsibilities that include exposure to changing environmental, construction, and operational conditions, which may include: extensive walking in and around an active construction and/or operations site, climbing ladders, working at heights from work platforms including scaffolding, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), use of personal fall arrest equipment, walking and working on uneven surfaces, working in constricted and/or confined spaces, variable work shifts (e.g., day, night, weekends, 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, etc.), and work in inclement weather. Some lifting may be required. Candidate must be able to use standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. respirator, harness, life vest, hearing protection, etc.).

The Pluto Train 2 Project is a Major Hazard Facility meaning this is a non-smoking site and no tobacco products – i.e. cigarettes, vapes, lighters, tobacco - are permitted to be brought to the site. Mobile phones and other personal electronic devices – i.e. wireless headphones, iPads, smart watches - are also not permitted on site.
