Volgren Perth is seeking a skilled and experienced Panel Beater to join our manufacturing team at our Malaga facility. In this role, you will be responsible for the repair and replacement of damaged panels on our range of buses, ensuring that every vehicle meets our exacting standards for quality, safety, and durability. You will work with modern equipment and alongside a dedicated team of professionals committed to excellence in automotive body repair.

Task & responsibilities
Panel Repair and Restoration:
•Remove damaged panels, parts, upholstery, and accessories to gain access to repair areas
•Remove dents by hammering and straightening panels using traditional and modern techniques
•Straighten damaged vehicle bodies and parts using mechanical and hydraulic equipment
•Replace badly damaged sections with new or second-hand panels, ensuring perfect alignment and fit
Surface Preparation and Finishing:
•Fill depressions with plastic filler
•File, grind, and sand repaired surfaces to achieve a smooth, professional finish
•Ensure all repairs meet company quality standards through attention to detail
Welding and Panel Joining:
•Cut and join replacement sections using welding equipment
•Demonstrate proficiency in various welding techniques
•Fit repaired or replacement panels on vehicles
•Refit body hardware such as door locks and trims
Additional Responsibilities:
•Assist vehicle body builders in the construction and restoration of custom-designed, vintage, and other specialty vehicles as required
•Perform spray-painting tasks to complete vehicle finishes when needed
