We specialise in Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge vehicles, and our team is factory trained in Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge, Hyundai and Kia, with extensive experience across dealership service departments in Melbourne, New Zealand and the Middle East. We service and repair a wide range of vehicles, including petrol, electric and hybrid vehicles.
Due to ongoing business demand and the need to maintain our specialist service standards, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Motor Mechanic to join our workshop on a full-time basis.

Task & responsibilities
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines, parts and vehicle systems.
- Inspecting, testing and repairing engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, brakes, cooling systems and related components.
- Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmission systems, steering mechanisms and other mechanical components.
- Repairing or replacing worn, defective or damaged parts and reassembling mechanical components.
- Performing scheduled logbook servicing, oil changes, lubrication, tune-ups and preventative maintenance.
- Using diagnostic scanning tools and computer-based testing equipment to identify vehicle faults.
- Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after repair to ensure proper performance.
- Carrying out engine testing, repairs, rebuilding and reconditioning where required.
- Performing brake repairs, suspension repairs, steering repairs, cooling-system repairs and transmission servicing.
- Maintaining accurate service records and following workshop procedures.
- Ensuring all work is performed safely, efficiently and in accordance with manufacturer specifications and relevant Australian standards.
These duties align with the recognised Motor Mechanic occupation tasks, including diagnosing faults, dismantling and repairing engine/transmission/steering components, performing scheduled maintenance, and testing repaired parts.
Qualification & experience
Applicants must have:
- Relevant trade qualification in automotive mechanical technology or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience as a Motor Mechanic, preferably in a light vehicle workshop environment.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Experience with engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, cooling systems and general vehicle servicing.
- Ability to use diagnostic scanning tools and follow service manuals.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a workshop team.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Experience with Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge vehicles will be highly regarded.
