Live-In or Live-Out | Long-Term Role | Canberra
We are seeking an experienced, warm and highly organised Nanny / Light Housekeeper / Mother's Helper to support our family in a structured afternoon and weekend role. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who enjoys building genuine connection with children while confidently managing light household routines.
This position offers stability, above-award remuneration and a respectful, well-run household environment.
This role can either be Live in- In your own self-sufficient Tiny House on the property in an excellent location in Red Hill. Or live out if you already have accommodation. Wages can be discussed depending on the successful applicant requirements and experience. Own Family car also offered that can be used for personal and household use.
Hours
Total hours approximately 30-35
Key Responsibilities
Childcare
School pick-ups
Afternoon supervision and engagement
Reading, play and structured downtime
Supporting dinner and bedtime routine
Household Support
Preparing simple, healthy dinners
Light batch cooking
Light laundry
Kitchen and meal tidy
Assisting children with tidying their spaces
House organisation
Maintain current Australian Working with Children Check
This is not a heavy cleaning role — we are looking for someone confident maintaining flow and order in a busy family home.
About You
You are:
Experienced in nannying or private household roles
Calm, patient and emotionally intelligent
Proactive, use initaitive and capable of working independently
Organised and efficient with time
Genuinely enjoy engaging with children
Have a minimum of 3 years' experience in nannying or private household roles
Possess valid Australian work rights (all visa statuses considered)
