• Diagnosing, servicing and repairing hydraulic systems, including cylinders, pumps, motors and valves
• Rebuilding and overhauling hydraulic cylinders and fluid power components
• Fault-finding in hydraulic plant and associated mechanical equipment
• Fabricating, cutting, threading, bending and installing hydraulic hoses, pipes and tubing
• Performing on-site servicing, maintenance and breakdown repairs
• Reading and interpreting hydraulic schematics and technical drawings
• Ensuring all work meets safety, quality and workmanship standards

This role is open to Australian citizens, permanent residents and overseas applicants with suitable experience. Visa sponsorship may be available for the right candidate.

Benefits

Salary: $78,000 – $108,000 + super (approximately $39.50 – $54.65 per hour, based on a 38-hour week), depending on qualifications, skills and work experience.

Metal machinist experience is highly regarded, particularly experience with lathes, milling machines and precision component machining.

Qualification & experience

• Trade qualification (Certificate III or higher) or relevant overseas qualification. Strong hands-on experience required; 3–5+ years’ experience highly regarded.
• Demonstrated practical experience working with hydraulic systems and fluid power equipment
• Ability to diagnose faults and work independently in workshop and field service environments
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Team-focused approach with good communication skills
