Task & Responsibilities

Duties:

• Diagnose and repair 24V electrical systems in buses and heavy vehicles.
• Install and configure a range of electrical and electronic components, including school warning lights, destination displays, surveillance cameras, power inverters, and CCTV systems.
• Interpret and follow electrical schematics to ensure precise installations and configurations.
• Perform quality checks and maintain tools used for diagnosing and repairing vehicle electrical systems.
• Administer the Multiplex CAN system for buses, including diagnostics, firmware updates, and user-level programming to support vehicle operations.
• Supervise the installation process, including routing wiring harnesses and crimping connectors, while providing guidance to the staff on electrical procedures and standards.
• Document completed work, including parts used, diagnostic steps, and time taken for each task.
• Report any recurring issues or safety concerns observed during repair and installation processes

• Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Adhere to company and industry standards for electrical repairs and installations.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure that all work meets BSS Bus Services & Solutions’ standards
• Address and resolve any issues related to the quality of electrical repairs.
• Work alongside other technicians and staff to troubleshoot complex issues, share knowledge, and ensure efficient operations.
• Communicate effectively with the service team regarding work completed and any additional repairs needed.
• Liaise with clients to explain repairs, recommend services, and answer questions related to electrical systems.
