Estimator – Manufacturing (Full-time or Part-time)

We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic and detail-driven Estimator to support our team in delivering high-quality custom metalwork projects. This position is available full-time or part-time, with flexibility for the right candidate.

FBF is based on the Sunshine coast and are proud to be part of the Crimsafe Group we specialise in architectural metal features, structural steelwork, and custom fencing solutions for commercial projects. We work with Aluminium, Stainless Steel, and Mild Steel to produce high-end balustrades, screens, stairs, handrails, and more. 

About the Role: 

This is a pivotal role within our manufacturing team, where you’ll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates and tenders for a range of fabrication and fencing projects. 

Key duties include: 

• Reviewing plans, specifications, and client requirements 

• Preparing take-offs and pricing labour, materials, and subcontractors 

• Liaising with suppliers for up-to-date pricing 

• Collaborating with the project teams for accurate time and cost estimates 

• Supporting project delivery with quote revisions, variations, and procurement support 

What We're Looking For: 

• Previous estimating experience in a manufacturing, metal fabrication or construction environment. 

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills 

• Great communication and ability to work both independently and within a team 

• Proficient with estimating software, spreadsheets, and reading technical drawings. 

• Background in fabrication or trade knowledge would be highly regarded.
