The Small Engine Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing and maintaining a wide range of small engine equipment including lawn mowers, generators, pumps, agricultural machinery, power equipment and recreational small engine products. This role supports the growing demand for specialized services across the region and ensures customers receive reliable, safe , and the best out of their small engine equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

 Relevant Cert III Equivalent

 Preferably 2 years of experience

 Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills

 Experience with 2 stroke and four stroke engines

 Good communication and Customer Service Skills

 Ability to work independently and as part of a team

 High attention to detail and strong commitment to safety

 Must be able to lift 20-25 kg as required, work in a fast-paced workshop environment, and manual handling and

standing for extended periods.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 Diagnose faults and perform repairs on small engines and related equipment

 Conduct scheduled maintenance, safety checks, and performance inspections

 Assemble and test new machinery and equipment prior to delivery

 Identify worn or faulty parts, source replacements, and complete necessary repairs

 Operate diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and workshop machinery safely

 Maintain accurate records, job cards, and service documentation

 Provide customers with clear explanation of repairs and maintenance needs

 Maintain a clean, safe and organised workspace

 Ensure all repairs follow manufacturer specifications and Australian road safety compliance
