🔧 About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a CNC Machinist to join our expanding team at Total Precision’s new advanced manufacturing facility in Bayswater North, Victoria.

At Total Precision, we don’t do boring work. Every day brings something new — from R&D prototypes to high-precision defence components and aerospace parts. Our machinists take ownership of the entire process: from customer collaboration, fixturing and programming, through to CAM and production on the shop floor.

🚀 What You’ll Do

• Work alongside an exceptionally skilled and experienced team in a new, clean workshop.

• Enjoy a permanent day shift with attractive overtime.

• Operate a variety of 4- and 5-axis CNC mills, 3- and 4-axis lathes, and CNC grinding equipment.

• Be mentored in machine operation, metrology, and advanced CAM — we’re all about upskilling.

• Contribute to projects across defence, aerospace, automotive, medical, and R&D sectors.

✅ Must Haves

• Experience in CNC turning and/or milling.

• Strong work ethic, initiative, and a “get it done” attitude.

• Ability to set, run, measure and verify your own work.

• Solid CNC programming experience.

• Relevant trade qualification.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and models.

💡 Nice to Haves

• CAM programming skills (Mastercam, GibbsCAM or similar).

• Experience in cylindrical grinding (ID/OD).
