$80,000 - $85,000 Annual

Employee will be responsible for maintaining the van and ensuring it is equipped with all necessary tools and equipment for roadside assistance and small repairs. The job will not be supervised and employee must himself start the system for receiving assistance calls and responding timely. Employee must also provide complete support to the client, make a report for each call and take necessary actions based on severity of the issue. Initial training will be provided but employee is expected to be experienced in roadside assistance work. Employee’s progress will be monitored through monthly and bi-monthly reports.

- Selected candidate will be employed directly by QuickFix Auto Repairs (Aslam Pty Ltd)

- Candidate may live and work in any region of NSW but should be within an hour’s drive from  QuickFix Auto Repairs(Aslam Pty Ltd) office at Brookvale, NSW, 2100

- Selected candidate will be given relevant training before start of employment. Further training will be given later as required by Club Assist and NRMA

Applicants will be given preference in the following order:

- Australians

- PR holders

- Applicants having work rights

- Other, including international applicants


Benefits

- Annual salary is AUD $80,000 + Superannuation

- Extra hours will be calculated as per overtime

- Weekends salary will be calculated as per overtime

- Employee is allowed to take van home in the evening and start from home directly


Task & responsibilities

- Handle electrical and mechanical repairs efficiently 

- Operate NRMA system for receiving assistance request

- Quickly and correctly diagnose automotive condition

- Change tyres and battery, selling new ones if required

- Handle car towing and appointment with auto workshop

- Self-manage client support without direct supervision

- Understand and apply safety operating procedures at all times

- Working with clients with a positive attitude

Additional Requirements:

- Valid Driving license, at least 3 years experience 

- Good English and communication skills

- Motor mechanic or Automotive Electrician qualification

- Is able to install, maintain and repair electrical wiring and electronic components in motor vehicles.

- Experience in handling and maintaining equipment used for car repair

- Capable of taking out car battery for replacement or changing tyre

- Handle long working hours that may require sitting in the van

- Be able to work on the weekends

- Familiarity with different types of vehicles

- Knowledge of safety rules and regulations

Working hours:

- Employee is expected to be on call from 7am – 6pm 

- Work is not expected to be continuous and there will be sufficient break between calls

- Work is 5 days a week but employee must be available on Saturday (and in rare cases on Sunday) in case of high cases of breakdowns and vehicle assistance requests


Qualification & experience

- At least 1.5+ years experience in Australia providing doing roadside assistance as automotive electrician or mechanic

- Similar job experience will be preferred

- Motor mechanic or Automotive Electrician qualification 

- Multilingual in English, Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi
