You will be required to carry out regular servicing in accordance with the manufacturer's requirements, diagnose faults and perform regular ongoing maintenance. Salary $75, 000- $80,000 per annum on entry, dependant on experience, plus 12% superannuation. At six months the salary will be reviewed in accordance with Performance Measures and KPIs met. You will need a minimum of Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology and with at least 1.5 years of experience and a valid QLD driving licence (Manual) with LR minimum, or ability to upgrade.
Hours are Monday - Friday 0800am -0400pm

Task & responsibilities
Currently, we seek a qualified fleet mechanic with diesel experience to maintain set standards for our fleet, which comprises Toyota Coasters. Toyota Hiace Commuters, Hyundai iMAXes, Toyota Camrys, BMW 5 Series sedans and a range of single axle luggage trailers.
In this full time role, you will handle the following:
- Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools and hands on experience
- Servicing and repairing engine parts and assemblies, transmissions, brakes, suspensions and other related components
- Performing scheduled servicing, maintenance and inspections as per manufacturer's recommendation
- Testing and adjusting mechanical and electrical components for optimal performance and safety of the vehicles
- Respond to vehicle breakdowns
- Refer to service and workshops manuals and plan repair and maintenance in view of time, safety and reliability
- Liaison with Fleet manager and/or Workshop manager to prioritise regular vehicle checks and to maintain operational standards
- Maintain detailed records of work performed
Qualification & experience
What do we need from you:
- Minimum Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
- Willingness to learn continuously and upskill, as required
- Atleast 1.5 years of experience as a Motor Mechanic
- Aleast LR or higher license, or willingness to obtain
- You are required to have basic tools but specific tools are provided.
- You are required to maintain and uphold highest standards of workplace health and safety standards and a clean and organised working environment
- A roadworthy certificate is a bonus but not essential
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to details
- Excellent Communication skills
